Band Director: Robert "Robbie" Oldroyd
Robert Oldroyd is a native of Troy, Pennsylvania and a Music Educator at Dryden Middle-Senior High School. He graduated from the Ithaca College School of Music, summa cum laude, with a degree in Music Education and Horn Performance. He actively participated in many performance ensembles at the college and was the founding conductor of the IC Harmoniemusik and the IC Sightreading Band. From 2008 to 2014, Mr. Oldroyd served as founding conductor of the Troy Town Band and its ensembles, conducting over twenty-five concerts. He now serves as the Committee Chairman and Conductor of the Endless Mountain Handel and Haydn Society. He performs frequently with professional bands and orchestras in Pennsylvania and Central New York, and at music festivals all over the US. In addition to serving as a Dryden Middle-High School music teacher, Mr. Oldroyd serves as the organist and choir director of the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, PA.
Chorus Director: Jennifer Rafferty
Jennifer Rafferty is the Music Department Chair at Cortland Junior-Senior High School where she teaches 7th and 8th grade choirs, general music, and modern band classes. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Performance and Master of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College. Mrs. Rafferty is an active clinician, conductor, and performer. She has been presenting nationally on her research and practice of active music-making opportunities for every student, particularly in the middle school general music classroom. This includes multiple clinics at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Conferences and the Association for Popular Music Education (AMPE). She has conducted elementary and middle school All County Choirs throughout New York State, and has published articles in School Music News focusing on middle school general music and community connections. Mrs. Rafferty serves as a NYSSMA solo festival adjudicator and is the president of the Cortland County Music Teachers Association. In 2016, she received the regional Apple for the Teacher Award, which recognizes excellence in education.
Chorus Accompanist: Dolores Brooks
Dolores Brooks is retired from Marathon Schools following an over thirty year career teaching English and acting as musical director of the theater program. She enjoys playing the piano now for fun and as the musician of the Presbyterian Church in Marathon. Dolores and her husband Rick (a retired Marathon history teacher) enjoy taking trips to visit their two grown children in NYC and Boston and planning vacations to Disney World as often as they can.

The ensembles and staff are managed by a board of volunteers who meet monthly throughout the year to ensure summer music-making. New volunteers are always welcome! The board officers for 2018-2019 are as follows:
